Last fall I took Jack to the feed store downtown and let him pick out a couple baby chicks. I thought it would be a fun way for him to see where eggs come from and learn that we don’t just get food from the grocery store. I hope to instill in him a connectedness to the magical world around him. And so started the chicken project… They have an adorable little home in our backyard and have become more like pets, really. They’re fun to watch! The most exciting part happened this past week when 2 of the 3 started laying eggs! We officially have fresh easter eggs just in time for this weekend!
